Meet Linda Lo Cascio

My mission is simple: ensure every person is heard and treated with dignity, patience, and respect.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, where my immigrant parents taught me the core values of sacrifice, faith, and community. These Brooklyn roots have guided my 27-year legal career, from the high stakes of Criminal and Family Court to the life-altering decisions made in Housing, Civil, Supreme, and Surrogate’s Court.

I have seen firsthand how debt, housing instability, and mental illness can disrupt or devastate a family. In my current role as a Court Attorney-Referee, I serve in a quasi-judicial capacity, performing duties similar to a Judge by hearing cases and ensuring a fair hearing where each party has an opportunity to be heard, and a neutral decision is made.

If elected, I will bring that same spirit of fairness and common-sense justice to the bench. As your Judge, I will be a champion for our most vulnerable—advocating for greater resources for mental health and guardianship—while ensuring that our courts remain just, accessible, and grounded in the values of the community I have called home my entire life.

A Proven Legal Career

* Court Attorney-Referee & Court Attorney: 11 years serving the Brooklyn judiciary, managing complex litigation and quasi-judicial hearings.

* Solo Practitioner & Trial Attorney: 16 years of "on-the-ground" experience, including protecting children and families with the Administration for Children’s Services.
